There was always this problem on Slackware, usually you could only work with USB at the time.
I never cared about this, but since I have this Sony Ericsson W810i, and I’m on Slackware, which doesn’t even read one USB slot without you adding it. So I added one, to use it for my memory stick, but then when I plugged in my phone, which is ought to read phone memory and its memory card memory, it would only read phone memory.
I had no idea how to solve this, I was especially confused because my disk is read as sda1, so I figured my USB will be marked as sdb1, sdb2, etc… But no, they should be read as sdb1, sdc1, sdd1 and etc…
So today I piss out, and figure out to do it, more cuz of a challenge, rather then cuz I really needed to alter files on my Walkman.

It might be something called like … some kind of crisis or something. I was in a state, where I wanted to live in present day. Have groovy desktops, have the state of art package manager, get and upgrade and do to your package what you want. Of course I’m talking about Mandriva, and in all that there are things missing.
I’d just best describe it af is someone made a copy of you, he done all the make up, you’re suddenly grown up and etc … But there’s something missing, and that thing is called that’s really not you as you want yourself.
Just sitting there, and everything just working like that … I don’t know … so yea I snapped. Took Slackware 11 dvd, erased the whole disk and hey started installing it. Just 2-3 days after Slackware 11 came out, I was really disappointed, but disappointed is gone. Slackware 11 is really horrible, it just wants to fuck your brains out. Maybe Patrick just thought, lets remind these guys what they really now about Linux.

Last night I’ve decided to close Abshost.
I wanted to sleep it over, and see what happens in morning. Same thought.
After all this time, why?
I’m sick and tired of not seeing any funds or anything. People want great things for free, ok, it’s said how we get financed, still no donations, for months. I’ve got my own life, since I started Abshost, I sacrificed my whole university year to work on Abshost and make it great.
To get something great, I really think you should give something in return, which you didn’t.

On friday night I go out with my gf, trying to get in the theater seeing “Borat” all tickets were sold so … screw it. We end up at my friends place, I end up drinking small bottle of Jagermeister, after that I walk my gf to the cab and we head to the place where we could play some pool and drank few more beers.
Before I forget, at my friends place, he wanted to show me his brand new notebook. I see acer and I tell him I give him less then 1.5 year warranty. Later on he wanted to say how cool it is, that he could put in my phone memory card and transfer data. Ok, I put it, it works we transfer and end up that we couldnt take out the card! Later on even worse happens, my 1.5 year warranty expires and touchpad didnt work anymore.
Don’t you love acer :)
