I believe I’ll break many hearts with this post, some may agree, and some may not. What I definitely want to state before even writing anything is that this isn’t hate talk or anything like it, but just simply being completely objective, and looking at this whole Google thing from a distant stand point, and of course only present you with most obvious facts.
Now get yourself a cup of coffee, play the most metal, aggressive, brutal, music you have on your comuter and let me take you to a journey of hatred ;)
How Google and I met
First of all, I started using Google around ~99 this isn’t a short time period, almost ten years eh? I remember I was using Altavista and Astalavista (for those who remember good old times) which was such a great search engine, it just kicked ass. Then I can’t remember what happened to it, but to put it simple, it was gone. Then I actually switched to Yahoo for a short period of time; however, back then you simply couldn’t find anything, if you were looking for something … oh man, sometimes if you’re looking for something really “stashed” your search could be prologue up to half an hour.
And then one day I heard about this thing called Google, “Googled” for the first time and viola, I was there within matter of seconds! It truly came into my life as some kind of epiphany.
more “!= Google”
Just few days ago, I had this conversation how Google is becoming … well just like any big corporation. However I still I couldn’t stay negative when it comes to Google. For begining, when I was opening foolcontrol, I have it all prepaed, my own mail server to everything. But still I’d use some of Google services, search, analytics, code, google earth and so on.
I really know a lot about Google, so I’m just trying to separate them from companies such as Microsoft … When I first found them in 99 or whenever, I was literally looking for something for at least half an hour, Google and there 20secs …
But lately, I’m getting cornered with Google. First, I use Gmail, I have 5 mail accounts in it, Google has my data. Hell just until recently Google was holding my blog data. Anyways, but I’m just being careful what I write with Gmail, when I need something to be sent without passing by “censor” system or anything like that, well I’ve got separate email account for that one ;)
But one thing that was bothering me the most about google, was Google Web History. Ok, what’s so helpful about google web history, that I can look what I was looking for, and go through my web search trends and so on? Yea, except that Google will go through it too, I’m setting what I’m searching for to Google as well.

I thought of this idea for a long time now. I’m a guy (read male) and I hate shopping. Therefor, I hate going to shopping centers, shops, supermarkets etc… and looking for certain thing for dozen of minutes, even the sales people don’t know where everything is.
However there’s one question, how many times have you been in shopping trying to get socks for example, and imagine you could just come across some “device” where you could type what you’re looking for and it would tell you where the article you’re looking for could be.
Usual shopping takes up to even couple of hours, this could help you and reduce your time, and let you know if there’s such a product or not. Like searching for absinthe.
Search/Look for: absinthe … not found ;)
