Fedora Smolt Beta

February 1, 2007 – 10:33 pm by Adnan Hodzic

Smolt something new, it’s a hardware profiler. What’s it used for? You send your anonymous report on what you’re on (hardware related), and this can definitely come in handy when talking about various hardware problems (just like my libata problem).

For those who are on Fedora 6 can get the beta version Smolt. Just open up console and run: yum install smolt

To send your profile type: smoltSendProfile

Smolt was announced (to public) on 31st of January, and number of hosts is very low right now, (around 1000) so come in and join, it’s for your own good Smile
Also you may find stats page interesting for now

    I actually completely agree Smile

It’s nothing new, but Fedora it is, and there are number of distros that are simply looking up on Gentoo style of handling things …
