Almost all of wiki contents got updated, so please take your time to review it all, once again :heh:
“nü” was more of a symbolic meaning, since in meantime we solved our bids “weakest links” and pretty much got it “mature” and at the stage we were aiming it to be. We’ll still make some minor changes to it until the final decision date (in 47 hours) but this is it really  So without further ado, let me introduce you to our nü wiki :announce: Since besides changing pretty much the whole wiki we have also added (important) new pages for:
Banja Luka and Republika Srpska
We have added a new pages to bring Banja Luka and Republika Srpska closer to every potential visitor.
Full Government Support
Today we have received the most important information when it comes to our bid. Today government council sitting was done, where one of the topics was full financial support in case Banja Luka is host to DebConf11. Proposition was accepted! To remind you, we will get free venue building whether it’s “Government Building” or “Banski Dvori”, besides that we’re getting them to cover basically all of the costs needed for the conference, and besides that we’re getting 5 additional members to our local team (highly capable and educated govt. officials) which even includes city Mayor. Early tomorrow we’ll get scan/fax of this memorandum from Chief of Cabinet along with the local team names which will all together be added to this very wiki page.

Bosnian bid for DebConf11 is Banja Luka, we had wiki page that wasn’t changed since DebConf9 in Cáceres this year. Reason we didn’t have it changed for so long is that we didn’t want to post anything before we had “official/first hand” answers to all our questions. Therefor we present you with wiki page for Banja Luka!
Our team was working (still is) incredibly hard in order to get it all sorted. Slowly but surely we are taking our bid process to the final stage, where we are planing to finalize the actual funds needed for the DebConf11 to take place and … that would be from us :)
If you have any questions about something that wasn’t mentioned on the wiki please do let me know.
Yesterday was a glorious day for DebConf11 bid in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I had a scheduled meeting with Banja Luka’s mayor Dragoljub Davidovic.
We met in his cabinet, where I presented him with the paper “DebConf11 in Bosnia and Herzegovina” in which I tried to explain what it all means. From what Debian is, over what DebConf is, to why is DebConf important.
The thing I was most worried about was how am I going to explain all this in simple “non-tech” words :)
Either way, I was in middle of explaining what Debian is when mayor interrupted me “I understand, I’m electrical engineer myself” … you have no idea what relief came from these words! :D
Explaining what DebConf is and what kind of profiles attend one such event went smoothly as well, where mayor made some replicas on my story from the projects he worked on and so on. After my last “case” he also explained me how it’s good that we meet, since Banja Luka was known as “electronic” city in ex-Yugoslavia.

Debian 5.0 Lenny was released on 14th this month. 22 months of development, I knew the exact release date long time upfront, but I didn’t plan that right on that day FoolControl will go through some downtime :/
Nevertheless, Lenny is out, and out of sudden I don’t have much stuff left to talk about on this very topic now :) I find Lenny to be one of the best releases Debian releases yet, I too contributed to this release as much as I could. Didin’t make into package maintainers, but it’s all matter of free time, and dedication really.
I’ve been with Lenny, well pretty much since Etch was released, I moved to Lenny. Since Lenny is stable now, and new testing is Squeeze, don’t jump on Squeeze right about now, since there aren’t security updates at the moment, since security team for Squeeze isn’t formed yet.
However, Lenny has been great for very long time, and I’d really enjoying sticking to it, but I believe I’ll move to next testing in no time, life on stable … it’s boring :)

Foolcontrol has been down, that is … you’d actually see “Hello World” post and that’s about it, for last ~3 days.
I was actually making switching from one server to another, and I really thought there won’t be any disturbances (why oh why did I think that) and ended up with ~3 days downtime. Oh well, now it’s all fine, and if for anything I must apologize to all the people that are hosted under FoolControl :)
Nevertheless, what bothers me the most is that Debian 5 (lenny) was released in the meantime after 22 months of development, but I’ll make sure I blog all about it :)
