OK, so last week I was in Zagreb, attenting DORS/CLUC 2008. The conference + workshop, only lasted 2 days + 1 day workshop, but my friend Vedran (best know for being owner of microsoft.ba) and myself went there 1 day earlier, and I extended my stay cuz I enjoyed Zagreb so much :)
When it comes to conference, it was absolutely great, most of attention and best lecture was by “Harald Welte” about OpenMoko. I had a nice little chat with him, about it all. Alan Cox was there as well, but to be honest, I expected much more from his “lecture” but that always happens when you get your expentations too high, from anything really.
I’d like to give out a special thanks to Kristijan Zimmer, who was like the main organizator of it all, and who did a great job for all of it, and of course Vlatko Kosturjak :)
What came out good out of this whole thing? Well besides really great time I had in Zagreb, and everything/everybody being so nice to me, conference and both workshop were really great. If I’d like to make a comparison between a big thing such as DebConf and DORS, I’d really give DORS … I’d rate it 9 out 10.

Since last summer I’ve been watching this phone, and just waiting for it to be released. And since last summer that when it comes out that it’s going to be my new phone. W960 was released just recently, however “supplies” are gone all over the place. For last month and a half I’ve been trying to get it.
Balkans, that is Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia don’t have it. “change” told me that they have in Wien, cheapest he could find was ~500 euros. Then my gf tells me her sister is coming from Slovenia (hey they are in EU right) I check with her there were the ones by ~520 and ~630 euros. I tell her to get the one, next day she tells me it’s all gone. I felt like I completely failed, and at this point I was just a freak who had to get this phone!
I go talk to my dad about my problem, after that in 48 hours I got my phone! He got in contact with some people or whatever … but seriously if it wasn’t for him I still wouldn’t have it.
So I got it sometime last week, second day I managed to flash it :)
This phone my friends is just … wow. I think its weakest link is its camera which is 3.2mp, but besides that it’s a killer phone. Personally I was even thinking about Nokia N95 , but I was thinking :)
Here are Sony Ericsson W960 specifications:

Besides my everyday problems (either becoming debian or fedora developer :) ) Another big thing is troubling me. I feel like it’s really important to discuss and end this discussion once for all. And I have no intention of hurting anyone or anything.
And I’d really like you to comment on this post, I really want to hear your opinion related to this topic.
Ok here’s the story, as many of you may know I used to have dreadlocks, I “lost” them due to … well reasons. So now 3 or what years later … I’m tired of shaving my head, hair or no hair, 1 or 0. So I’m thinking of just letting my hair naturally get tangled and eventually ending up in dreadlocks.
But now, I’m actually getting the second thoughts. First time I was basically a teenager, had 18-19 years when I had them done (I did/made them myself). Back then I just liked the damn thing and I didn’t think about anything else. Now I’m actually thinking about it, its consequences and reactions/actions it could/will provoke.
First “clash” I would get is the one from people. Weird looks and etc, it’s basically environment with a lot of just narrow minded, or completely close minded. But I didn’t give a fuck about it then, nor do I now. Now I could go on and on with this talk, how it’s all bad here.

Just so it’s not conspicuous that I, am now even mentioning KDE after it’s major release 4.0
Even months, even a year before KDE 4 was supposed to be out, we were all hyped, from brainstorming to I don’t know what.
At some point, it was around when dolphin was out, talks started that new KDE is actually crap, that’s it’s not worth anything, bla bla. And then as the time went on, it got to the point where it was impossible, those who claimed they had KDE under their fingers were only saying the bads things. It got so bad, that at one point, it was around time Gnome 2.20 was released I reached to test out new Gnome. I was a sworn Gnome user, back in the day I used to swear in name of RedHat :)
Around this time, as far as I can remember betas were out, I tested every single beta, and I was … demolished. I couldn’t believe they could release something that buggy, that something that buggy could even be in beta. In meantime, I ditched Gnome :)
KDE4 RC’s were already out, basically the same story, and it went throughout RC’s.

I was the first in our LUG to find out about Free Solaris DVD, I posted something along the line: “Open Solaris looking up on Ubuntu – Short registration, and unbelieveable but DVD’s should arrive in 10 work days time period. You’ll get 10CD’s per “order” and OS is x86-86/SPARC compliant. ” I posted that on “14.01.2007 23:11:16”
