For awhile now, I’ve been keeping a close eye on Sony Ericsson … everything pretty much was the same as W810. Yea there are differences, but here and there … It was mostly about the phone looks, hardware remained the same.
W810i is still a great phone, what bothers me about it, is it’s standard “keyboard” that is numbers :) I’m doing a lot of browsing, typing emails, forums bla bla.
So it really takes a lot of your time to type small a message. Second is that I can’t code :) And as far as I’m concerned coding on Symbian is possible. But I say no to Nokia … it’s just not my style :)
So really I was waiting for new P series, which I want for a longer period of time.
M series caught my attention, but immediately lost it when I saw there’s no camera on it. Yea all other aspects are fine, but IMO, any todays phone has to have a camera.
And just today it was new P series has been released!

This took awhile, I went through around 500 games, first I tried to make some sort of top 10, top 25 list or something similar. But this is just not possible, some will love certain genre while others will hate it. So I’ll just post the once I liked, so this list is not in any particular order.
You get this games for free (instead of paying for it), I’m really not familiar with the law, but if games creators want it removed, I’ll remove them. So please don’t sue me :) I’m serious.
These games were tested on Sony Ericsson W810i, you’ll need a good phone with good processing power, so anything below K750 … I’m not sure you’ll be able to play it. Good luck.

I’ve mentioned in my Sony Ericsson W810 review how you needed “disc2phone” software to get your music on your walkman phone. What I didn’t say is that pretty much same thing is happening for every other files. Copy speed would be too great, once the transfer is done, and you have umounted (safely removed) the drives (memory card and phone) files you just copied wouldn’t be there.
Once I tried copying a movie (.avi ~700MB) to my phone memory card, and that movie was on Windows machine, and transfer dialog said it would take around 90minutes. I thought about it, how really fast (slow) phone memory cards are, since they aren’t really made for freaks (like myself) that would just like to carry .avi movies on them. So producers really didn’t think about speed when it comes of transferring such large files.

This morning I was drinking my coffee, with a weird feeling surrounding me, simply put I didn’t want to do any C++ or anything, all I wanted to is just … chill out.
I hear someone on the intercom, I first thought that my OpenSolaris has arrived, I leave package on the table and wanted to head to my “testing” notebook, but then I stopped, wondering why is package so … big … after all it’s OpenSolaris :)

Even though I’ve bought W810i some 6-7months ago, and didn’t really think about writing a review for it, recent email changed that opinion.
Nico dell Castillo contacted me. Here’s some part of the first email I got from him:
“I’m reaching out to you on behalf of Sony Ericsson and M80 regarding the W810i Sony Ericsson Walkman phone. Since you blogged about Walkman, I thought that you might be interested in posting the press release or an in-depth product review of the phone on your blog? You seem like a reputable influencer, so I think you’d be a big help to us. For your review, I would be happy to send you a W810i model to check out, or if you already have the phone, a set of external speakers as well as a Walkman T-shirt. Or maybe all three?”
Now, the good stuff ;)
