Sony Ericsson W960 Showcase

March 11, 2008 – 10:59 pm by Adnan Hodzic

Since last summer I’ve been watching this phone, and just waiting for it to be released. And since last summer that when it comes out that it’s going to be my new phone. W960 was released just recently, however “supplies” are gone all over the place. For last month and a half I’ve been trying to get it.

Balkans, that is Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia don’t have it. “change” told me that they have in Wien, cheapest he could find was ~500 euros. Then my gf tells me her sister is coming from Slovenia (hey they are in EU right) I check with her there were the ones by ~520 and ~630 euros. I tell her to get the one, next day she tells me it’s all gone. I felt like I completely failed, and at this point I was just a freak who had to get this phone!

I go talk to my dad about my problem, after that in 48 hours I got my phone! He got in contact with some people or whatever … but seriously if it wasn’t for him I still wouldn’t have it.

So I got it sometime last week, second day I managed to flash it Smile
This phone my friends is just … wow. I think its weakest link is its camera which is 3.2mp, but besides that it’s a killer phone. Personally I was even thinking about Nokia N95 , but I was thinking Smile

Phone is just too crazy, that’s all I can say, if you wanna talk about it, post comments and now there’s a forum too Smile Below are just some pictures of Sony Ericsson W960 and its features, I wanted to make a video, but in last minute my camera failed on me … so I used Nokia N95 instead to take pictures, really amazed that N95 doesn’t have micro/close-up when in video mode o_O

If you ask me, that’s a really nice waste of 5mp camera, however pics are really amazing.

Sufring with actual Opera 8.65, hand recognition at glance

Fring

Touchscreen is plain fun Smile

Wifi among others

Charger

Video looks pretty bad, when in reality it’s just … too good, but I guess it’s due
to that 5mp Nokia camera Smile

This is not a review or anything, this is just a showcase, IMHO Sony Ericsson W960 is the best cellphone there is at the moment. And these things you seen on the pictures are only a part of what this phone can do.

If it had a 5mp camera, this would without a question be a best phone among the masses. But even now, within first week of having it, I’m still discovering all it’s capable of, and didn’t find one bad thing about it.

If you’re in opportunity to get it … definetely get it.
